When you sign your son or daughter up for Troop 132, you’re signing them up for much more than an after-school activity. It is not as expensive or as time consuming as other activities. You can participate as much or little as you want. Your child can participate in other activities at the same time.

Whether it’s catching that first fish or their hundredth, or camping for the first time or honing their existing camping skills, they will take part in activities that are fun, but also character building, that will set them on a path to success. They will learn to interact and bond with a youth group that they could remain friends with for life. While there are lots of cool merit badges and ranks to earn, including the much coveted Eagle Scout, the experiences along the way are the true rewards.

Troop 132 meets at Mt. Carmel Lutheran Church most Tuesdays from 7:00 pm to 8:30 pm.  Visitors are welcome to visit any regularly scheduled meeting.  If you would like to visit us, please contact us first to make sure that we will not be away on some grand adventure.

Mt. Carmel sponsors the following Boy Scouts of America programs:

Cub Scout Pack 132 for boys and girls in grades K-5.  The cub scouts meet twice each month on Tuesdays during the school year.

Scouts BSA Troop 132 for boys ages 11-18.  The scouts meet weekly on Tuesday evenings year round.

Scouts BSA Troop 132 for girls ages 11 -18.  The scouts meet weekly on Tuesday evenings year round.  This unit is in the organizational stages.  If you are looking for a scouting experience for your daughter, please contact us.

Venturing Crew 132 for boys and girls ages 14-21.  The crew meets twice each month on Thursday evenings.  The focus of Crew 132 is outdoor high adventure, centered primarily on a backpacking theme.

Scouting Events

Recent summer summer highlights include visiting Yellowstone National Park, backpacking the Superior Hiking Trail along Lake Superior’s north shore, and week-long summer camps at Many Point Scout Camp near Park Rapids, MN.  Every year we try to squeeze in plenty of camping, biking, hiking, canoeing, fishing, wilderness survival camping, outdoor cooking, and orienteering.
